Reporting to the CEO and Executive Team, the Senior Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the Group of Companies whilst supporting the Executive Team to achieve rapid, profitable and sustainable organisational growth.

Through sound financial planning, modelling, and management, the Senior Financial Controller enhances the Group's ability to anticipate risks and operational challenges, supporting informed decision-making to achieve the Group, Company, Region and Function specific strategic objectives. This role focuses on assisting with forward planning and strategic decision making, fostering leadership, and embedding a mindset of growth and abundance.

Operationally, it involves maintaining healthy margins and building reserves to facilitate strategic objectives. The role is central to the 4th Pillar of our Group and Company Purpose of "Building a Great and Enduring Company".

Experience with scaling international Companies and associated planning and adaptability Experience with board level reporting, Group accounting, international payroll and Xero Accounting degree, Microsoft suite proficiency and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Finance and Administration Functions, both in terms of day-to-day Team management as well as setting the Function's strategy and growth plans in line with the overall Group strategy and Company needs. Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the Group's fiscal function and performance. Take a lead role in bringing operational excellence to the Team and the organisation. Ownership of Group P&L and maintenance of an accurate cashflow forecast, cost control, budget accountability and ensuring adequate cash to fund operations and growth.

Develop credibility for the Finance Function by providing timely and accurate financial insights, analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to support the CEO, Advisory Board and Executives to make informed financial and commercial decisions in line with the Group strategy Fully responsible for the Financial Accounts of the Group (supported by the internal Finance and Admin Team, an independent external Accountant and Tax Consultant) – including the month-end management accounts (and accompanying management information), as well as the quarter-end and year-end audited financial statements and all financial reporting made to the Executive Team and Advisory Board. Manage all Group financial and cash forecasting, to ensure that the CEO and Executive Team are fully informed weekly and monthly are profitability and cash funding requirements resulting from the Group's business operations and future effect of the current Group strategy. Implement and maintain financial reporting and performance evaluation criteria for all parts of the Group to ensure that all key personnel are fully and appropriately informed about budgets, growth forecasts, cash forecasts, profitability and the financial effect/impact of all business activity. Ensure compliance (supported by an independent external Accountant, Tax Consultant or Auditor, as relevant) with all local direct and indirect taxes, including supporting legal and business development Teams in optimising the tax effects of commercial contracts. Provide direction surrounding interrelations between Holding Company and all associated entities in the Group to maximise profit, ease of reporting and effectiveness of donations and other Group goals. Use financial information to constructively challenge business activity – either to increase profitability, improve efficiency, or increase Company value. Ensure reliability and integrity of all financial reporting. Interact effectively with all other parts of the Group to establish a culture of accountability . Ownership and strategic direction of the financial and 'Governance Journey' of the Group including the development of financial processes and framework for the Executive Team, Companies, Regions and Functions.

Technical and process expectations -

Ability to forecast and anticipate internal / external factors while guiding Group strategy and building a Finance and Admin Team. Broad financial knowledge (bookkeeping, accounting, finance, financial analysis, budgeting, debtor management, foreign currency management, raising debt and equity capital, operations finance, tax, legal, regulatory, etc.). Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights, understands business cycles, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders. Ability to assist with establishing and maintaining appropriate insurance cover for the Group. Proven decision-making skills and the ability to lead, teach and empower others to build capacity. The ability to address and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
