NSW Government is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various financial tasks, including budget preparation, management reporting, and financial analysis. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels. Key responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate submission of all PTA/carry-forward requests. Prepare annual budgets in accordance with PRIME guidelines. Compile monthly management reports and PMO financial updates. Plan, track, and report budgets and forecasts with precision. Collaborate with Project Managers to provide real-time financial support and analysis, helping to manage budget expectations and drive results. Develop financial models to support business cases and strategic planning activities, including cost-benefit analysis and sensitivity analysis. Key Requirements: Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Strong proficiency in financial modeling. Familiarity with PRIME or similar budgeting systems a plus. Professional Finance/ Accounting qualification, preferred. NSW Government experince, preferred. Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
