IPART – Insurance Monitor – Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Monitor – IPART Officer E · 3-year temporary role in an independent, strategic agency of the NSW Government · Join a new team tackling an important consumer protection initiative · Central Sydney location, with flexible working conditions and hybrid working options About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team and make your contribution in an emerging area of consumer protection newly added to IPART's portfolio. As Insurance Monitor, we will monitor insurers' pricing and conduct during the transition from the emergency services levy (ESL) to a new model for funding the State's emergency services so that the community can have confidence that insurers will remove the ESL from premiums over the transition period. The Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Monitor will work closely with our expert modellers at IPART to undertake detailed financial and economic analysis, modelling and advice to ensure reliable financial information and analysis is provided to senior leaders and the Tribunal to make informed regulatory and enforcement decisions. You will leverage your ability to synthesise information from a variety of sources to produce and test robust price models, and you will translate technically complex insights into clear written and verbal communications in a range of contexts. The salary range for the position is $121,892 - $130,479 per annum + superannuation and annual leave loading. You will be able to translate your expertise when explaining recommendations and decisions to stakeholders. We would highly value previous experience working within the insurance industry, government or relevant advisory roles.
