Local Financial Services Organisation located in the CBD is looking for an experienced permanent Senior Financial Analyst with good technical knowledge and a strong work ethic, to work closely with the CFO in solving problems and driving improvement.You will also have the confidence and experience to cover for the Financial Controller or the FP&A leader, as a logical career path would be into one of these roles.You will have 5+ years' local experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a large corporate or Big 4 accounting firm.Responsibilities:Drive strategic financial decision-making through expert analysis and insights.Lead technical accounting interpretations and maintain best-practice standards.Support the development and modelling of a 5-year operating outlook.Partner with the Executive Team to deliver critical financial and business intelligence.Manage treasury operations and complex financial reporting requirements including cash flow management and hedge accounting documentation.Champion process improvements and strengthen our control environment.Provide strategic advice on financial risk management and mitigation strategies through proactive analysis and reporting.Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects, enhance reporting frameworks and deliver financial solutions to the organisation.Ideal Background:Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a large corporate or Big 4 accounting firm.Active membership with a recognised professional accounting body (CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent).Comprehensive knowledge of current Australian accounting standards.Proven track record in financial analysis and strategic problem-solving.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders.An unwavering ability to deliver accurate and high-quality financial analysis to support business decisions within challenging timelines.
