Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant - Sydney Office - Max term contract Who are we? We shine a light on all things property. Our Group Financial Control team is integral to our operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, and providing strategic insights that drive the business forward. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise and contributing to the Group's overall success.
This is a fixed-term part-time position (3 days) for 18 months.
You will be responsible for the following: Assist the Financial Control team with the preparation of consolidated results for the Domain Holdings Australia Group in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001, ASX listing rules and current Australian Accounting Standards. Assist in the compilation and review of monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet statements. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounting areas, including prepayments and accruals, leases, share-based payments, provisions, and revenue recognition. Assist with the half and year-end external audit process. Assist with the preparation of financial reports for the Audit & Risk Committee, executive team, board, and other stakeholders. Assist with the financial accounting of acquisitions and disposals and integration of new entities into the Domain Group. Collaborate with the business enterprise team to design, develop, and transform our finance systems to support Domain's long-term strategy. Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting and insights provided to the business, processes, data quality, and data availability. Identify financial reporting issues and contribute to the development of solutions that enhance the Group's financial operations. Who are you? The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent financial/technical and management accounting knowledge. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. A willingness to learn and stay up to date with financial reporting requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented approach. Comfort with manipulating and interpreting large amounts of data. Confidence in presenting data and financial results. Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. An Accounting or Finance degree (essential).
