Strategic financial oversight: Direct month-end close processes, providing senior management with timely snapshotsDrive process improvements, coach team members, and optimize financial operations.Sydney or Wellington, NZ based. ABOUT THE ROLE - MO TENEI TURANGA
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Compliance you will take the lead in financial reporting and be responsible for driving excellence in our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare annual and half-yearly consolidated financial statements and subsidiary accounts.Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely closure of the general ledger.Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.Liaise with external tax advisors for timely lodgement of tax returns.Act as a key contact for internal and external audits.Drive relationships with offshore management service companies.Ensure integrity of our accounting system and assist with insurance renewals. Technical skills needed
