Michael Page have partnered with an ASX-listed mining/tech company to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex financial processes, budgets, and risk assessments, whilst complying with IFRS.
An ASX-listed business with a global presence, our client is experiencing project growth and as a result is now seeking to expand its Group reporting and technical accounting team.
Description Reporting into the Group Reporting Manager, this role will be responsible for:
Preparation of group statutory reporting Preparation of technical accounting papers Liaising with external auditors on the workflow of audit campaigns Preparation and consolidation of group results Budgeting and forecasting Overview of the general ledger reconciliation process Manage financial risk assessments Ensure compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies Contribute to the decision-making process of the management team that will have a direct impact on the strategic direction of the company Profile The successful applicant will have a Big 4 audit training, with a strong knowledge of IFRS. Candidates with a Big 4 audit and ASX-listed commercial background are encouraged to apply.
Key traits will also include:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field CA/CPA Qualified Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures Proven track record in a commercial Financial Accounting role (desired) Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
