We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Calor.
Based in Tachbrook Park, Warwick, with the flexibility of hybrid working, this role is pivotal in supporting our Financial Accounting Team Lead with key reporting activities, balance sheet control, and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the submission of monthly P&L and balance sheet reports to our parent company using SAP BPC, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Contribute to external and internal reporting needs, including quarterly forecasts, annual ONS submissions, and bi-annual internal audit control submissions.
Take responsibility for relevant month-end processes, including accruals, provisions, and data review.
Provide value-added analysis to business partners.
Maintain the integrity of the ledger by managing relevant balance sheet captions, performing reconciliations, and collaborating with the finance team to enhance data quality.
Guide team members in improving their balance sheet reconciliations and sign off on reconciliations as needed.
Take ownership of new areas related to the IFRS transition, including calculating journals and managing team responsibilities.
Play a key role in managing year-end audit processes, ensuring that group reporting and statutory deadlines are met.
Actively participate in new ways of working, suggest process improvements, and engage in departmental initiatives across the wider Finance team.
Undertake special projects in response to specific business needs.
Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
Solid background in a financial accounting environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong decision-making abilities, and experience with computerised systems.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Calor, SHV, and with external auditors.
High level of accuracy and commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
