Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is essential in delivering financial information to support strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring CGL's future growth and profitability. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is eager to progress their career, possesses strong leadership and communication skills, and is eager to impact the company's financial health and strategy.Working as a Senior Financial Accountant you will:Prepare, analyse, and deliver month-end financial reports, including account reconciliations and maintaining an accurate balance sheet.Ensure compliance with GST, FBT, income tax, and other statutory returns for Australia and New Zealand.Partner with business unit managers and stakeholders to analyse variances and provide financial commentary.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and preparing half and full-year statutory reports, ensuring adherence to all accounting and regulatory requirements.Provide support in audit processes and maintain financial systems, including the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.Engage in specific projects with senior management to facilitate strategic and commercial decision-making.Perform additional tasks such as annual insurance declarations, ABS surveys, fixed asset register maintenance, and ad hoc reporting.About youYou'll bring a strong analytical mindset, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
