We do this by enabling smarter buildings and providing a smarter property experience.About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join SUPA as part of the Finance team as an established & experienced Senior Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with our divisional leaders to provide key financial insights whilst also fostering new and improved accounting processes, systems and reporting using our new ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).Responsibilities for two to three operating entities:Preparing the monthly financial accounts with a heightened focus on; Australian Accounting Standard (AASB) compliance; International Accounting Standard (IFSR) compliance; Revenue assurance; and Internal controls management and maintenance.Analysis and commentary to accounts and financial/management reports.Reporting on, and monitoring of, cash flow and liquidity.Maintaining accurate and timely financial data and information for reporting.Maintenance of fixed asset registers, lease accounting registers and inventory accounting.Supervising the clerical activities.Assisting with the preparation of longer-term management forecasts and plans.Payroll processing review and approvals.Participating in various budget and forecasting processes.Ensuring requirements relating to both internal financial management and external regulatory information are catered for by computerised information systems.Ensuring the security of financial systems and the integrity of audit trails.Required Qualifications & Competencies:Proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant.CA or CPA qualification.Sound financial working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AP/AR/GL/Fixed Assets/Leased Assets/HR/Payroll/Inventory).Proven experience with reporting tools Power Q / Power BI.At least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in the full range of either financial and/or management accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis and reports.At least 5 years in an industry-based financial accounting role in an organisation with more than two operating entities with a strong focus on Australian Accounting Standard (AASB) and International Accounting Standard (IFSR) compliance.Understanding of data analysis, variance analysis and reconciliation procedures.Experience in the preparation of general-purpose financial statements with both Tier 1 and Tier 2 reporting requirements.Strong familiarity with external audit processes from either in-house or professional services.Strong time management, administrative and procedural skills and an ability to prioritise tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills.Sound knowledge of organisational accounting procedures.Skills and knowledge within financial/management accounting principles.Ability to analyse and communicate financial information.Experience with preparing presentations and presenting to internal customers.If you think you would be a great fit for this role and our company, we welcome your application!
