We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department in an integral role, supporting the Director of Finance in a number of areas of financial reporting, compliance and maintenance of the general ledger. The responsibilities will include:
Support the Director of Finance in achieving objectives, including assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Prepare and oversee the generation of financial reports, including monthly reports with variance analysis, daily bank reconciliations, and cash flow projections.Manage month-end tasks such as journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations, as well as annual processes like financial audits and tax returns.Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare monthly capital expense reports.Maintain records for compliance and reporting purposes, including BAS, FBT, STAT Returns, and grant reconciliations.To succeed in this role, you will need:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting.A minimum of 5 years in a comparable role (education experience preferred).Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy involving numeric data and data entry.Excellent computer literacy, including spreadsheets, data entry and knowledge of MS Office Software to an advanced level.Experience in Synergetic would be advantageous.Time management skills and ability to complete tasks within strict deadlines.Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team.To Apply: Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
