Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, an ASX-listed organization, seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to support their finance team in various financial reporting and accounting tasks for the next three months. This role is ideal for an all-rounder with strong technical skills who is looking to step into a position to get them through the to the new year. This position is a temporary contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role, providing vital support through a busy period.

As a Senior Financial Accountant in this role, you will: Take charge of monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness.Review balance sheet reconciliations for the group.Deliver Balance Sheet and Cashflow commentaries.Prepare the half year Financial Statements and disclosures.Oversee CAPEX and work-in-progress asset accounting, ensuring compliance with internal policies.Support transactional processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.Engage with senior management as a sounding board and assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects. What we're looking for: CA/CPA qualified with a strong foundation in technical accounting.Proficiency in ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel capabilities.A proactive, self-managed individual who thrives on meeting deadlines and driving improvements.Knowledge of ASX and ASIC reporting standards and disclosure requirements.
