As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in the end-to-end accounting and finance cycle for the Scape Finance team.
In addition, you will participate in financial close, analysis of business drivers, budgeting & forecasting, and work with other stakeholders in the business.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou will be detail-oriented with the ability to perform the following tasks:Demonstrate significant proven ability to produce and run end-to-end month-end processes from transaction recording to monthly variance analysis and reporting (R2R function).Possess highly developed technical skills with a working understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and corporate reporting, preferably in the hospitality and property sector.Previous experience in a medium to large private trading company.Previous experience in the preparation and analysis of management and financial reports.High level of proficiency in MS Excel, and other MS Office products – Word, PowerPoint, etc.Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in a commercial accounting role or 5 years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm environment.Hold a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience with a CA, CPA, or equivalent certification.Previous effective leadership experience is desirable.Familiarity with medium to large ERP systems.Experience working on NetSuite, StarRez, PowerBI is desirable but not compulsory.Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently.Strong interpersonal and clear communication skills in both written and verbal forms.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.This position is based in our Sydney HQ office and requires working on-site from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
