Opportunity for a Big 4 or Mid-Tier trained individual to join a high performing financial services company, gaining exposure to financial reporting.MARS are partnering with an established and growing financial services organisation that's seeking a Big 4 or Mid-Tier trained individual to join their team as a Senior Financial Accountant.In this role, you will be responsible for managing month-end processes, consolidating financials, and providing insights on financial performance. You will also play a key role in preparing tax returns, financial statements, and coordinating with auditors during reporting periods.The Role:Month-End Close: Manage month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis for various entities and assist with group consolidation.Financial Reporting & Analysis: Contribute to the development of management reports and analysis, supporting regulatory reporting requirements.Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings, including BAS, FBT, and Income Tax returns, while ensuring all compliance requirements are met.Year-End & Half-Year Reporting: Prepare financial statements and act as a point of contact during audits.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline month-end procedures and support various finance-related projects to enhance reporting efficiency.The Requirements:Bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification.3-5 years' experience working at a Big 4 or Mid-Tier chartered firm (essential).Experience in financial statement preparation is desirable.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Team-oriented and adaptable, with a focus on meeting deadlines and driving improvements.To Note:Must come from a Big 4 or Mid-Tier chartered background.They operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this role.If you're interested in this opportunity, please apply to the role directly.
