ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Scape Finance Team.
As the Senior Accountant, you will support a small AR team and be a key player in the end-to-end accounting and finance cycle for the Scape Finance Operations team.
Additionally, you will participate in financial close, analysis of business drivers, budgeting & forecasting, as well as working with the operational team.
This role is based in our Sydney CBD Head Office, 5 days per week.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You will be detail-oriented with the ability to perform the following tasks:
Significant proven ability to run end-to-end month-end processes from transaction recording to monthly variance analysis and reporting (R2R function).Highly developed technical skills with a working understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation, and corporate reporting, preferably in the hospitality and property sector.Previous experience in a medium to large private trading company.Previous experience in the preparation and analysis of management and financial reports.High level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office products – Word, PowerPoint, etc.Minimum of 8 years' experience in a commercial accounting role.Qualified CA, CPA, or equivalent.Previous effective leadership experience.Familiarity with medium to large ERP systems.Experience working on NetSuite, StarRez, Power BI is desirable but not compulsory.Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently.Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication skills in both written and verbal forms.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.PERKS & BENEFITS At Scape, we are all about creating and sharing good vibes.
