Our role:  Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant within our Global Financial Reporting team based in North Sydney. This role would suit a highly motivated individual looking for an entry point into the Group Finance function of a dynamic, large, multi-national ASX-listed organisation. This foundational role serves as a launching pad into other career development opportunities across the Group including but not limited to Group FP&A, Strategic Finance, Regional Finance and Finance Transformation.
Reporting to our Manager - Global Financial Reporting, this is a key role in the Group's month-end and external reporting process, with opportunities to enhance control and quality of reporting across the Group. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of month end Group reporting and g roup consolidation journal entries Reviewing consolidated trial balance including analytical review on the group balance sheet Preparation of Group balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow Preparation of monthly board reporting deliverables  You will also be heavily involved in our group statutory reporting and compliance requirements for both half and full year reporting including; Annual and Interim Financial Reporting and Investor and board presentations including commentary and analysis on the Group accounts.
About you:  You will ideally posses a mix of the below attributes and experience: Tertiary qualified in Business, Accounting or Finance or a similar discipline CA, CPA or CMA qualification Strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements Strong commercial acumen including stakeholder engagement and analytical skills Ability to work under tight timelines across multiple time zones Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot tables and use of Formulas Advanced Business writing skills including the ability to convey detailed financial analysis succinctly for the Board of Directors.  *Please note, applicants submitted via recruitment agencies will not be considered for this role.
