We are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Lead to oversee our payroll operations.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves ensuring efficient, compliant, and accurate payroll processing, driving improvements in payroll systems, and maintaining best practices across all payroll-related functions.
The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all payroll-related legislation and standards as well as acts as the subject matter expert for the business on all payroll-related matters.
THE PERSON… This role requires not just technical expertise but also someone who thrives on collaboration and creating a positive impact on the people they work with.
The role requires a hands-on approach with a willingness to work in the detail, as well as to lead one team member.
The successful candidate will also possess: Extensive experience in payroll systems such as Preceda, Elmo, and KeyPay.
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including third-party payroll providers, to ensure systems and processes meet organisational standards.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Fair Work standards, and National Employment Standards.
Proficient in interpreting awards and agreements, ensuring compliance with payroll tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations.
Skilled in handling complex calculations for terminations, redundancies, and leave entitlements.
High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
Flexible and open to adapting to new systems, regulations, and workplace changes.
