Full time $108,109.00 to $116,864 per annum + superannuation The Courts Administration Authority is constituted by the Courts Administration Act 1993. The Act established the State Courts Administration Council as an administative authority independent of control by executive government and to confer on the Council power to provide courts with the adminsitrative facilities and services necessary for the proper administration of justice.Participating courts of the Authority are the Supreme Court, District Court, Environment, Resources and Development Court, Youth Court, Magistrates Court, and the Coroners Court.The Business and Financial Services Branch delivers strategic finance advice and operations including financial accounting and management accounting services to ensure the CAA operates within a financial framework which achieves the strategic objectives of the CAA. It also provides financial governance which complies with relevant legislation, directions and determinations from the Treasurer and other applicable whole-of-government policies.The branch provides centralised budget management, finance and accounting services, finance business partnering, procurement services, business reporting, internal audit, and corporate governance and risk management for the CAA.The Senior Financial Accountant is a key member of the Courts Administration Authority (CAA) management accounting team and is responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements, Goods and Services Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax returns and the provision of specialist financial advice and assistance, including advice on accounting policies and procedures, taxation legislation and Australian Accounting Standards. This position is located in the Business and Financial Services Branch of the Corporate Services Division.Special Conditions:The following special conditions apply to this position:Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993.
