We are recognized as one of the world's leading providers of online marketplace software.Role Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in a remote role, with some days in the Melbourne office to connect with the broader Finance team. This is a key role supporting the financial operations in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States. You will have responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial reporting, ensure compliance with regional accounting standards, provide financial insights, and contribute to the success of our global business.What We Can Offer:Opportunities for professional growth and development.A dynamic, flexible and inclusive work environment.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Positive and supportive work environment and a great culture, with a focus on work-life balance.Virtual offsites and strategy days.Referral program.Key Responsibilities:Preparation of global monthly financial reports.Assistance and review of monthly revenue results and KPI/Metric reporting.Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.Support and oversight of monthly journals for Revenue, Accruals and other balance sheet items to ensure results are accurate.Preparation of fortnightly payroll.Management of additional payroll items such as annual reporting, US benefits, Superannuation etc.Ensure compliance with local tax regulations including GST/VAT, income tax, and payroll tax across Australia, NZ, UK and USA.Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage statutory reporting and audits.Oversight and assistance with customer billing, managing PO's etc.Assistance with reconciliations including data input at times may be required.Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement in financial operations across regions.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.CA/CPA Qualified highly regarded.Demonstrated experience in managing and executing month-end close process and multi-entity consolidation required.Strong ability to reconcile accounts, prepare accruals and post journal entries with a focus on accuracy is a must.Ability to review month end figures and explain the why behind the numbers.Experience in preparing tax compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.Experience in payroll preparation and other required payroll reporting and compliance.You are commercially minded and have experience in a commercial role.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar software required.Experience in the technology/software industry is considered a bonus.Marketplacer is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to diversity in the workplace.
