What we're looking for:
We are now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finances (Merchandising) team in Melbourne. This role sits within the Corporate Services (Finance) Business Unit and is primarily responsible for ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual finance processes for the TGI Sport Merchandise business. Other responsibilities include:
Leading the month-end financial process, ensuring timely and accurate profit & loss reports.
Managing the balance sheet and business cash flow reporting, providing monthly reports and key commentary to the global finance team.
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, maintaining a precise fixed asset register and reconciling inventory with the general ledger.
Preparing GST/BAS, PAYG, FBT returns, and Workcover reports, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Leading the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the Merchandise business.
Providing analysis and insights for budget proposals, and support the annual audit as the primary point of contact.
Mentoring and managing an Assistant Accountant while collaborating with the General Manager Finance on ad-hoc reporting.
The successful candidate will thrive working in a team environment whilst holding the ability to work autonomously, have high attention to detail, and an analytical mindset.

Experience:
CPA or CA qualification with suitable experience in a Financial Accounting role
High level skills in Excel and preferably NetSuite experience
Experience in merchandising, stock/inventory (particularly in the sport or entertainment industry), is desirable.
