We are currently looking for an exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to support the Australian/NZ business and to be based at our head office in Carrum Downs.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the preparation, implementation and execution of financial accounting functions delegated by the Head of Finance including Project and Revenue accounting, Balance Sheet Reviews, OPEX Reporting & Management along with all Statutory Compliance requirements. The position also has accountability for the supervision of a small transactional finance team.
The role is also pivotal in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships for finance related activities- particularly in corporate governance responsibilities.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Management of Statutory and other Compliance Requirements (includes Ensuring strong financial controls, robust scalable processes and procedures are in place across the business to meet relevant financial requirements such as Statutory Reporting, Audit and Tax Compliance as well as operational management of balance sheet reviews, cash flow, maintenance of insurances, Investment and Asset Management, Financial Reporting, Auditing, Tax, (GST/ BAS/FBT) Project Management & Financial Analysis (facilitating Project review meetings, supporting project managers, validating project data etc.) Month End Reporting (such as OPEX, Financial analysis, Sales and GM trends and balance sheet reconciliations) Process development and execution in collaboration with the Head of Finance Budget and Forecast preparation. Development and leadership of finance team members The role is vast and varied and requires someone who is a self- starter and can hit the ground running and make an immediate positive impact.
To be successful in this role you must have a relevant degree along with either CA or CPA Qualifications. You also have demonstrative experience working in a Senior Financial Accounting capacity ideally working for a complex global company with matrix reporting structures. Working knowledge of SAP will be highly advantageous as will your exemplary knowledge of Australian statutory reporting requirements and broad accounting and people management skills.
