About the role:
The Senior Financial Accountant leads two Assistant Accountants as direct reports and is primarily responsible for preparing and managing month and year end processes, whilst proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency.
This is a full time position that can be offered on a permanent, temporary or casual basis. The position is based in Southport and offers the flexibility of 2 days working from home after the initial training period. The remuneration package includes competitive base salary, super and not for profit salary packaging.
Duties:
Prepare and manage month end and year end processes and reporting including reconciliations and financial statement preparation for multiple subsidiaries and consolidated entities.
Business partnering with operations to ensure financial goals are met.
Provide financial analysis and reports to support business decision making and drive growth.
Preparation of BAS, FBT for multiple entities.
Assisting with external audit related matters.
Directly support senior management on financial, commercial, and strategic matters.
Oversee critical financial operations, including ERP management, balance sheet reconciliation and cost control.
Identify and implement process improvement to increase efficiency.
To be successful you will have:
CP or CPA Qualified
Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Relevant experience gained in a similar role in a large organisation with multi-layer teams
Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
Advanced user of financial software (Oracle Netsuite desirable) and MS Excel
A strong team player who is proactive and able to take initiatives
