Job details Location: New South Wales Salary: $600 - $650 per day Job Type: Contract Discipline: Accounting Reference: V-118013 Posted: about 11 hours ago Share this job Job description Senior Financial Accountant NSW State Government  6 Months contract  Sydney CBD + 1x day WFH Salary equivalent to grade 9/10 Role: Financial accounting functions  Prepare financial statutory financial statements, reports and accounting work papers Prepare pre-payment and accrual journals and other end-of-month activities, to enable informed financial decision-making and budget forecasting Implementing and undertaking accounting functions and projects as required, including asset management, cash management, systems development and process improvement Proactively identify and resolve financial risks including transactional, reporting and account reconciliation issues, and develop mitigation strategies Essential skills/ requirements CA preferred   Experience in accounting and related software systems (SAP, Calumo, My Outcome) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Essential have worked in BIG 4 & in the NSW Government sector  Ability to work under pressure and independent Strong problem-solving skills  Permanent Residency If you are interested and bring the essential requirements / skills please APPLY here or contact ******
