Senior Financial Accountant

Contract/TempQuinn Allan is proud to be partnering with an ASX-listed mining organisation who have been establishing their presence in the market. They are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team in an initial 3 month contract to assist with a busy reporting period with scope to extend.

The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the organisation's financial operations, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role is integral to maintaining financial transparency and supporting the organisation's mission.

About the role:

End to end completion of the monthly profit & loss and balance sheet for multiple companies within the Group.Manage and record key revenue and expense transactions.Review and analyse key costs to identify and address anomalies.Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including subsidiary ledgers.Ensure the accuracy of data used in financial statement production.Maintain compliance with Accounting Standards and relevant Policies & Procedures.Manage the Fixed Asset register.Prepare and lodge relevant financial compliance submissions in a timely manner.About you:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.Previous mining industry experience preferred.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
