About the CompanyBased within their Brisbane head office, this growing national organisation has been instrumental in changing the lives of thousands across the country. They are now looking for a motivated and commercially minded Accountant with experience in a large company to support their mission to grow, ensuring resources and support reach those most in need.About the RoleWorking within the Finance team, this role will have responsibility for a couple of core divisions in the business and supporting the Financial Controller across EOM/EOFY processing and mentoring the junior accountants to continue to develop their technical accounting skills. With a focus on working with the team to improve controls and streamline processes, this role will be responsible for:EOM preparation including reconciliations, journals and accrualsEOM reporting including commentaryFixed asset maintenanceAssist in the preparation of BAS, FBT and Income TaxPreparation of audit work papers and assist in statutory reportingSupervise the day to day of a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to develop their skillsetWork with the finance team to identify opportunities for improvement of processes and controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standardsAbout YouCA/CPA, you will have experience working within Audit in either mid-tier or Big 4 and ideally commercial experience within a large company environment. Previous staff leadership (either at a client engagement level or on a day-to-day basis) is essential. You will describe yourself as motivated, eager to learn and as someone with a strong eye for detail/technically focused.
