This role is not just a job; it's a career path filled with development opportunities in a P.E backed firm, offering close collaboration with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller on strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and legal responsibilities. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements, while also supporting business decision-making through timely financial insights.Duties will include, but not be limited to:Extensive experience preparing, reviewing, and reporting financial and tax information, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and maintaining updated financial processesProven ability to enforce internal controls to minimize fraud risk, including regular updates to the Internal Control FrameworkDemonstrated success in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual tasks, lower costs, and enhance financial data accuracyExpertise in preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, along with supporting variance analysis for informed business decisionsStrong leadership in managing month-end processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and adherence to accounting standards (AASB16)Experience acting as the finance liaison for property portfolios and supporting statutory financial statements, audits, and cash flow forecastingProven collaboration with external auditors and management of tax submissions (BAS, FBT, ATO reporting)Experience preparing annual tax return documentation and supporting the Group's tax governance frameworkAbility to coach and mentor finance team members to drive continuous improvement and develop solutions for financial challengesSkills and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce, coupled with CA/CPA qualificationsBig 4 background in Audit or Business Services, with commercial experience, OR Manager level first mover from Big 4Strong knowledge of current Australian Accounting StandardsAdvanced knowledge of ExcelKnowledge of current accounting standards and practices and taxation lawsA proven understanding of financial systemsDemonstrated accuracy in production of reportsA proven understanding of group consolidation entries and intercompany transactionsExcellent time management and organisational skillsThe ability to be self-motivated and work both autonomously and within a teamWhat's on OfferExciting opportunity to join an industry leading business who are growing year after year and have the backing of a successful private equity firmPhenomenal career development and progression opportunitiesA diverse, dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced environment where your ideas are valued and encouragedAmazing team culture and working environment with exceptional leaders at the helmApply NowDon't delay.
