about the role Working within the Finance team, this role will have responsibility of a couple of core divisions in the business and supporting the Financial Controller across EOM/ EOFY processing and mentoring the junior accountants to continue to develop their technical accounting skills.
With a focus on working with the team to improve controls and streamline processes, this role will be responsible for:- EOM preparation including reconciliations, journals and accruals EOM reporting including commentary Fixed asset maintenance Assist in the preparation of BAS, FBT and Income Tax Preparation of audit work papers and assist in statutory reporting Supervise the day to day of a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to develop their skillset Work with the finance team to identify opportunities for improvement of processes and controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards about you CA/CPA, you will have experience working within Audit in either mid tier or Big 4 and ideally commercial experience within a large company environment.
Previous staff leadership (either at an client engagement level or on a day to day basis) is essential.
You will describe yourself as motivated, eager to learn and as someone with a strong eye for detail/ technically focused.
