Power and Water Corporation is seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Accountant to provide superior professional financial accounting, taxation and regulatory reporting services. Please note this role is based in Darwin, NT and will require relocation.

What You'll Do: Take charge of financial accounting functions: From managing month-end tasks to balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries;Lead tax and year-end reporting: Oversee both direct and indirect tax functions, and guide the preparation of Consolidated Annual Financial Statements;Be the go-to expert: Provide strategic advice on technical accounting (AASB) and taxation matters that influence the organisation's regulatory and business landscape;Shape the future: Support planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing team performance and workflows;Build relationships that matter: Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior leadership.What You Bring: Degree in Accounting with CPA/CA qualification;Strong people management skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams through change and improvement;Excellent communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholders;Expertise in accounting software, project management, and financial systems;Extensive experience in financial accounting, taxation, and consolidations within complex environments;Deep understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.Why Join Power and Water?
