As Senior Financial Account, you will be responsible for the delivery of financial accounting, transactional services, asset accounting, analysis, strategies, and technical advice and support services with respect to the financial management operations of QCS.
The essential requirements for this role are: - Well-developed knowledge (or a demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge) of the principles, practices, current issues and public sector policy relating to financial management and financial reporting
- Ability to manage projects and to identify, analyse, develop and implement and evaluate complex financial issues, strategies, policies and initiatives, to achieve outcomes for the business unit within negotiated time frames.
- Demonstrated team leadership and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders including team members, colleagues and clients
- Ability to understand and comply with legislation, policy and regulated frameworks as they relate to financial management.
- Advance communication skills including negotiating processes and ability to relate positively to others.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly in the use of spread sheet and database applications.
Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements - While there are no mandatory qualifications required for this position, possession of a degree in accountancy/commerce and a CPA or CA qualification or agreed equivalent would be desirable
