Who we're looking for: As part of the finance team, the Senior Financial Accountant, will work closely with the Group Finance Manager in the provision of accounting and taxation for the business. The incumbent will be involved in all month end and year end accounting processes, maintenance of the general ledger and maintenance of financial systems/processes, and will be responsible in the preparation of data for the FBT and income tax returns. Dedicated to meeting deadlines, you will apply your skills to support the team to:
Support Group Finance Manager in preparation of annual accounts. Undertake reconciliations of the general ledger. Maintenance of the general ledger and trial balance.Preparation of month-end processes including fixed assets and intercompany eliminations. Preparation of statutory accounts and other papers for monthly board meetings.Assist with cash flow preparation. Assist in the preparation of the annual FBT and income tax returns. Preparation and lodgement of the GST returns. Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and other papers for monthly board meetings. Mentoring of team members. Support with other accounting and finance related tasks as required.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with: Degree in Commerce or Business with major in Accounting.Minimum 3 years post-graduate experiencePrevious general ledger and tax experienceAbility to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the businessEffective verbal and written communication skillsHas a commitment to a high work standard and work ethic.Confidence in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the businessIn return, we offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
