What You'll Do: Take charge of financial accounting functions: From managing month-end tasks to balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries; Lead tax and year-end reporting: Oversee both direct and indirect tax functions, and guide the preparation of Consolidated Annual Financial Statements; Be the go-to expert: Provide strategic advice on technical accounting (AASB) and taxation matters that influence the organisation's regulatory and business landscape; Shape the future: Support planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing team performance and workflows; Build relationships that matter: Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior leadership.
What You Bring: Degree in Accounting with CPA/CA qualification; Strong people management skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams through change and improvement; Excellent communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholders; Expertise in accounting software, project management, and financial systems; Extensive experience in financial accounting, taxation, and consolidations within complex environments; Deep understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
