We are seeking a diligent Senior Financial Accountant who will contribute to the efficient operation of our Accounting & Finance department.
My client is part of a global group and is headquartered out of Narre Warren. Supplying fruits for domestic and international markets using advanced and sustainable techniques. They also offer cold storage and logistics services, solidifying their leadership in Australia's industry.
DescriptionYour responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist in ensuring adherence to applicable AASB standards.Management and review of monthly and annual statutory returns (BAS return, FBT returns, Levies, etc).Management and review of monthly and annual tax compliance.Maintenance of cashflow forecasts, including any reforecast of Capex and other significant items, in collaboration with the finance transaction team.In collaboration with the payroll team and financial accountant, ensure completeness and timely payments of PAYG liabilities across all entities (MF, MFP and PV).In collaboration with the finance transaction team and broader finance team, document processes and controls over key finance transaction streams (AR, AP).Determine and record required consolidation and elimination entries as part of monthly close entries.Determine and record required entries relating to inter-entity balances.Maintenance of AASB16 ledgers across multiple entities.Review and ensure completion of associated B/S reconciliations.Preparation of consolidated statements monthly as part of month-end process and annual planning/forecasting.ProfileTo be successful in this role you must have:
Degree in Accounting or Finance.CA / CPA Qualified.Experience in Big 4 / Mid-Tier environments.Experience in a complex FMCG, Manufacturing or Agriculture environment is desirable.Experience with larger ERPs including Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics is highly favourable.Strong attention to detail skills.Proven capability to work in a team environment.Job OfferHybrid working arrangements.New corporate offices.To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
