The organisation is both asset rich and stabilized revenue with additional funds from government grants to keep improving the best possible student outcomes.Your New RoleWorking under the group CFO, Financial Controller and Finance Manager, you'll be the senior financial accountant with oversight of the group consolidations, group audits, taxation, and provide the accounting for head office business units directly. You'll be supported by three qualified accountants, each with their own portfolio to look after. Further, you'll also prepare the monthly finance reporting pack for the executive team, and manage the group wide budget preparation/consolidation process. As a NFP, you'll be responsible for GST, FBT and other indirect taxes. You'll also assist with the treasury function, cash flows, investments and funds transfers based on your authorities. With a strong technical background you'll ensure processes and controls are in place to current accounting standards. As the technical expert of the accounting team, you'll be tasked with writing accounting position papers on new legislation and implement any legislative changes that occur.Your ProfileThis role would suit your move from public practice into the corporate/client side, particularly if you are an audit or tax manager. Experienced in leading teams, reviewing files, and providing financial reporting/compliance in a deadline driven environment for a variety of Clients. You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy financial accounting, process improvement, and get satisfaction when numbers balance. You have worked hard to get your qualification, done the hours required and want to grow your career whilst having a positive impact in the community you live in.
