Senior Financial Accountant | Asset/Fund ManagerSeeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a boutique asset/fund manager, with training and development directly from the CFO.MARS Recruitment is partnering with a boutique Asset/Fund Manager to find a driven and technically proficient Senior Financial Accountant. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end finance function. Your responsibilities will include month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, preparation of financial statements, year-end statutory reporting, tax compliance, ASIC and ASX listed reporting, and supporting budget and forecast processes.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual seeking a challenging and diverse role. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial and management reporting, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Responsibilities:Ensure the efficient completion of month-end close, including reconciliations.Prepare monthly management reports and board reports.Assist with ASX listed reporting requirements on a regular basis.Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.Partner with business units to provide insightful analysis of financial performance.Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.Support funding, cash flow planning, and tax funding activities.Ensure compliance with all tax requirements and reporting.Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and implement new ones.Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.Criteria:6+ years of experience in a financial accounting roleBackground in financial services with investment management desirableCA/CPA/ACCA qualifiedBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or CommerceExperience in ASX-listed reporting an advantageStrong analytical skillsStrong knowledge of IFRS accounting standardsSME experience idealExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalNote:4 days in-office work arrangementOnly Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this timeIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply to the role directly with your resume (Word format) and cover letter.
