Role Overview:
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be part of a close-knit team where you will be responsible for delivery of the month-end process, financial reporting, statutory reporting and creating the tax reports for the business. The main responsibilities of the role involve preparing accurate financial statements for both internal and external reporting.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for an end-to-end Senior Financial Accounting role and has experience working in large organisations with strong experience in IFRS16 lease accounting.
Responsibilities: Partner with the broader business in respect to financial reporting and decision supportPrepare weekly/monthly reports for various business units and corporate cost centresPrepare journal entries to ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy and completenessConduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, addressing review matters promptlyPrepare monthly financial results, ensuring accurate accounting and cost centre allocationsAssist with the preparation of Statutory Accounts and ensure compliance with IFRSAssist in identifying, developing and implementing efficient processes including the roll-out of new ERPEnsure compliance with corporate accounting and financial policies of parent entityCompletion of revenue and expense accruals and provision journalsAssist with management and upskilling of the team Candidate Profile:
You are highly energetic and wish to be in a critical role driving performance for a business. You hold an accounting degree, are CA or CPA qualified and have a strong understanding and ownership experience of a large P&L. Ideally coming out of an environment where you developed strong IFRS16 experience. With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are flexible in working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. A passion for continuous improvement and taking things to the next level is at the core of who you are. Your leadership and stakeholder engagement skills will ensure your success.
