Senior Finance WriterDepartment: MarketingEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: SydneyDescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Writer to join our team, where you will be responsible for producing high-quality content about investments, investment products and finance themes, targeting experienced retail investors across various channels including newsletters, websites, and articles.Your primary focus will be creating content that educates, drives engagement and builds the Betashares brand. A creative flair and the ability to break down complex topics in a straightforward and engaging way is a must – and be open to innovating across a range of formats.You'll also help to develop and edit content for other target audiences and work closely with the wider team and business including Investment Strategy & Research, product and PR to create material that responds to changing market environments, investor needs and business priorities.This role requires someone with a strong understanding of investing and markets, along with excellent stakeholder, collaboration and communication skills.Role ResponsibilitiesResearch, write and edit content for Betashares' subscription newsletters, website education centre, other owned channels and third parties, with a primary focus on retail investors.Collaborate with colleagues across the business to develop new ideas for engaging content that supports business goals.Work closely with marketing colleagues to ensure content is created and aligned to meet objectives.Ensure all content is tailored to the audience, channel and the Betashares brand.Co-ordinate content reviews and approvals from relevant stakeholders such as legal.Provide generalist writing and editing support for other areas of marketing and the wider business as required.Monitor and analyse content performance, using learnings to inform ideas and approaches.Keep up to date with financial markets and investment trends.Skills & Experience7+ years' experience working in a similar role whether in finance journalism or the investment industry.Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media studies, finance or similar.Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with demonstrable expertise in producing B2C investing content that engages audiences and achieves measurable outcomes.Passion for ETFs and investing, with a strong understanding of markets and financial products, and a proven ability to break down complex topics in an engaging way for diverse audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders.Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to create content in line with regulatory and corporate standards.Proficiency in CMS platforms and familiarity with content analytics tools.Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities.Reasons To Join UsWhat We OfferContinuous career development and training opportunities.Access to a health and wellbeing platform with physical, mental, social and financial support programs available.Volunteering days off, so you can contribute to a cause that matters to you.Conveniently located CBD offices with fully stocked kitchens, team breakfasts and catered lunches on a regular basis.Fun and inclusive social events.Our ValuesAs our business continues to grow, we're committed to creating a workplace that gives us all the best opportunity to succeed, and that is enjoyable to be a part of.
