About the role:
Working within a small and friendly Finance team, the Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks. Due to the dynamic nature of our organisation, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on diverse tasks that contribute to Mercy College's core business, with a strong focus on:
Welcoming visitors, parents and assisting with face to face and phone enquiries End to end banking Customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Contributing to the administrative and financial functions of the College to support student learning Accounts receivable Assisting with the end of month, financial reconciliations, and end of year processes Backing up team members in areas such as payroll and accounts payable What you will ideally bring to the role:
High level of customer service know-how with well-developed verbal and written communication skills Experience in finance or accounting practices Excellent organisational skills and time management High level of integrity consistent with working in a finance team and attention to detail Solutions focused with a mind for process improvement Team player with a positive outlook This position is part-time 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) and offers an ongoing contract starting 1 January 2025 .
