Overview:Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working ArrangementsBased at the City campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the UniversityAbout YouThe Senior Finance Officer (Trade) Accounts Receivable will maintain accounts receivable ledger/records, perform a range of general and administrative duties to ensure that revenue is secured, and any discrepancies resolved promptly.
Duties will cover a range of invoicing and payment scenarios.
You will provide a range of complex administrative financial services within the scope of this role and in relation to finance systems integrations activities using accounting methodologies, accepted accounting principles, regulatory and legislative requirements and RMIT policies and procedures.
To be successful in this position you'll have as a minimum: Working knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, principles, policies and procedures or demonstrated accounts receivable experience utilising financial management technological solutions, preferably Workday or other ERP systems in a large organisation.Demonstrated experience making effective and timely decisions by applying problem-solving, analytical skills and data to solve issues requiring mature judgment, discretion and tact, and ability to implement solutions.Well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills with proven ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.Organizational skills to coordinate many tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements.Excellent customer services skills with an ability to adapt to a growing and changing environment.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
