Our dedicated team drive positive change with a commitment to quality representation and advocacy in the justice system.Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply)Remote allowance of $3,300 per annum (if applicable)Annual airfare allowance6 weeks annual leave3 weeks personal leaveAbout the roleAs the Senior Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and reporting of our dynamic organisation. You will assist the Senior Accountant to manage and deliver the finance function with motivation and a commitment to professional excellence.What you'll be doingUndertaking bank reconciliationsProviding general accounting support and guidanceCompleting month end general ledger reconciliationsCompiling and completing grant applications and assisting the Financial Accountant/Senior Accountant in preparing acquittals with internal stakeholdersAsset register maintenanceAssisting with audit preparation and required documentationAssisting with accounts payable/accounts receivableReconciling credit card and petty cashPreparing ad-hoc and regular reports as requiredWhat we're looking forA relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or FinancePrevious experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the not-for-profit or public sectorExpertise in financial management, accounting, and budgeting principles and proceduresProficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applicationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality financial outcomesCommitment to continuous improvement and a strong attention to detailRequirementsRight to work in Australia with no restrictions.Satisfactory national criminal history check.Ability to obtain a working with children clearance (Ochre Card).If you're excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply now!How to applyApplicants for this position must submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
