Senior Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Senior Finance Officer - AR to join our finance team.
This role will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process and act as backup with other Finance Officer duties in AP and Payroll.
This is a new role to support the growth of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor accounts receivable aging, create weekly reporting on overdue accounts and client responses, and create escalation protocol for problem accounts.
Lead update meetings with the CFO and other department heads regarding the status of Accounts Receivable including departmental analysis on debtor days, key client analysis, cost to collect and more.
Support and manage the Finance Officers in communicating with clients via phone and email to facilitate timely payment of outstanding invoices.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing or payments.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to address client inquiries or concerns regarding invoices or payments.
Prepare, maintain and enhance documentation and reports related to accounts receivable activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounts receivable processes.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable management.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum successful completion of Year 12 (required)
Relevant tertiary degree or other qualification (desirable)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role (required)
Microsoft Office experience – specifically Excel
