Job Description Early Focus of the Role:
Lead the RTR team through a transformation agenda, driving improvements in operating models, technology, and processes to meet ongoing operational needs.Collaborate with the change team to develop and implement training programs, preparing the team for future state requirements.Build and implement a strong Shared Services culture, creating a productive and high-performing team environment while fostering development and retention.Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational strategy, supporting change initiatives and maintaining strong communication. Long-Term Focus of the Role:
Leadership: Build, lead, and inspire the RTR Shared Services team, fostering a positive culture of partnership and service delivery.Governance and Reporting: Implement robust governance frameworks, ensuring effective alignment with business expectations and evolving the shared services function.Performance Measures: Develop and produce internal reports on KPIs, SLAs, and process measures to enhance transparency, team performance, and operational excellence. Core Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of key accounting processes, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, account reconciliations, and fixed assets, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other tools.Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, driving accountability for internal controls and supporting internal and external audit processes.Review and own the accuracy of financial reporting and transactions, including intercompany transactions, management fees, and netting processes.Lead the period-end close process, ensuring timely and precise financial outcomes.Partner with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver value through continuous improvement projects and process enhancements.Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration and communication across the business.The Successful Applicant A proven leader in shared services, you will have demonstrated success in building high-performing RTR or general accounting teams.
You bring expertise in managing complex accounting processes, intercompany accounting, and a deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
With strong ERP and reporting skills, particularly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI, you are passionate about driving continuous improvement and effective governance.
CA qualifications and the ability to travel between VIC and WA are essential.
