Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Finance Manager or CFO to join our leadership team. This person will play a key role in driving the financial strategy of Proud Poppy Clothing as we scale our operations globally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of eCommerce, retail finance, open-to-buy budgets, seasonal planning, and the financial nuances of scaling a business in a high-growth environment. Experience in managing paid digital budgets and overseeing international expenditures is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support Proud Poppy's growth objectives, focusing on scalability and profitability.
Budget Management:
Oversee the preparation, management, and optimization of budgets, including open-to-buy budgets and seasonal planning for retail and eCommerce.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and implement financial controls to ensure liquidity for growth while managing risk.
Digital Marketing Spend:
Collaborate with the marketing team to manage and analyze paid digital budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial targets and ROI.
International Finance:
Oversee international expenditure, ensuring compliance with global regulations and optimization of financial processes across multiple regions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Lead financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Growth & Expansion:
Support the company's expansion into new markets, identifying financial opportunities and risks as we scale globally.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment that aligns with Proud Poppy's core values.
Qualifications & Experience:
7+ years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a CFO or Finance Manager in the retail/eCommerce sector.
Proven track record in financial management for businesses in a high-growth phase.
Strong knowledge of open-to-buy budgeting, seasonal financial planning, and retail inventory management.
Experience in managing paid digital marketing budgets and understanding ROI metrics.
International finance experience, with a solid grasp of global financial regulations and expenditure management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
