Role: VPS5 Senior Finance Business Partner
Location: Melbourne CBD
Contract: 6 month contract
Hourly Rate: VPS5 $69.41-$83.00 per hour + super
Start Date: ASAP

Join our state government client as a Senior Finance Business Partner in a high-impact role within the corporate budget sector. You will provide strategic financial guidance, deliver insightful analysis, and facilitate robust decision-making for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:Drive budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis, with a focus on month-end processes, accruals, and payroll distribution.Partner with executives and senior management to deliver strategic and operational financial support.Leverage Oracle ERP and other finance systems for project accounting and reporting.Develop financial models and forecasts to aid in long-term planning.Create user-friendly insights and monthly dashboards to support data-informed decision-making.Contribute to policy and process development, ensuring continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate:We're looking for someone with a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach. Experience in government finance is advantageous, with skills in budgeting, reporting, Oracle, and project accounting.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA highly regarded).Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and ERP systems.Strong stakeholder management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.A thorough understanding of Victorian Government financial policies and processes is advantageous.
