Newly established, we are in the process of upgrading the signage technology at Marvel Stadium and Melbourne Cricket Ground to present all stadium content in the best way possible. We work with Australia's premier sporting organisation, the AFL and AFL Clubs.
About this Role: We now need your finance expertise and commitment to build strong controls, play a key role across the business in providing end-to-end financial leadership. The position of Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for advising and assisting the business on both financial and management accounting measures to ensure decisions can be made to achieve the best possible outcome for the business.
You are responsible for:
Build strong working relationships and establishing trust with the business Providing finance leadership and accounting support to the business Production of management reporting, annual budgets and forecasts Liaising with departments to ensure adequate cost control and reporting Assist management with review of new business opportunities Provide support to the annual audit Ensuring the business is compliant with relevant tax regulations and completes all tax reporting (inc. FBT/GST) Own the balance sheet end-to-end Management of business cashflow model Build and maintain financial models Assist with design/implementation of appropriate internal controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with controls and procedures is reviewed and reported against Management of day-to-day relationship with external accounts services firm Support reporting of risk management Key Skills: Experienced in building rapport with people at all levels of the organisation Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and planning Strong leadership and a high level of integrity and personal drive Ability to prioritise and hit deadlines Going to have: Tertiary level Accounting qualifications and post-graduate qualifications – e.g. CPA/CA Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial management role An expert understanding of relevant accounting standards and taxation knowledge Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & PowerPoint Broad range of technical and commercial experience with a sound knowledge in cash flow management, risk management, budgeting, controlling and reporting Experience in implementation of processes improvement and systems excellence Prior experience or knowledge of stadium and/or sporting administration business Experience & Involvement with a change in financial reporting system Experience with Xero and associated plug-in apps Knowledge of reporting obligations for a Trust Child Safety Standards The work we do with content, in public spaces means we share their commitment to ensure we provide professional, safe and enjoyable environments for children and young people who attend these spaces and experiences.
