About the role Are you a technical Senior Finance Analyst with a passion for energy markets and a knack for turning complex data into actionable insights?
Join our dynamic team and lead the charge in delivering the month-end close process and performance reporting for our Electricity Financial Instruments portfolios.
You'll play a key role in driving commercial strategic business decisions through your financial expertise while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
What you'll be doing Deliver the month-end accounting close for electricity financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with AGL accounting standards.
Drive insightful financial performance analysis, providing key stakeholders with detailed reports and clear explanations of business drivers.
Maintain robust financial governance by overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and managing external audits and regulatory interactions.
Support Trading & Origination projects with comprehensive commercial analysis and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Promote and implement continuous improvements in financial reporting systems, processes, and derivative accounting.
About you What you'll bring to the table CA/CPA/ACA/MBA qualified with proven experience in accounting and financial instruments, ideally within the energy or financial markets sector.
Expertise in month-end close, performance reporting, and working with large, complex data sets.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making at senior levels.
Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
