Senior Finance Analyst, Construction Australia The Construction business is currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our high performing, commercially focussed, Portfolio Performance & Governance (PPG) team on a 12-month fixed-term contract at our global head office in Barangaroo.
You will be part of the Construction Finance team reporting to the Head of Finance - Portfolio Performance & International Construction and will work collaboratively with the Portfolio Performance and Governance team to deliver robust and insightful portfolio reporting that supports the achievement of the strategic, financial, and operational objectives of the Construction business.
Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
Delivering the analysis of key drivers of performance of projects in delivery (PID) and summarising key insights to the wider Operational team to influence actions.
Ownership of the monthly reporting process for Payments on Time (POT) and annual PTRS declarations.
Responsibility for analysing the data to identify key areas of concern and solutions to improve statistics.
Responsibility for preparation of ad hoc analysis, providing advanced scenario analysis to aid business decision making with the opportunity to present findings to Senior Stakeholders within the business.
Driving consistency in financial and commercial processes nationally with an aim to streamline where possible.
Coordinating national initiatives such as LoA updates, Indigenous Spend targets and rate updates in iTWOcx.
Partnering with GMs to manage the financial performance and recoveries against budget/forecast for LLis and Cost Planning cohorts.
Establishing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including offshore finance teams) to increase networks and build trust.
Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
Contributing to the successful execution of finance improvement initiatives.
You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualifications with at least 3 years experience in commercial analytics, project insights, data analytics, management reporting or a related field.
Your effective communication and problem solving will be complemented by your ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing commercial environment working both autonomously and as part of a team.
In addition, you will be developing strong excel skills, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, and possess the ability to adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations and assist others in adapting to change.
