The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services.
The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary: As a Senior Contracts Administrator, your role will entail contract administration duties for both goods and services and contract formation for site contracts.
Contract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts by complying with the project's operating procedures.
Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, reporting, communication of difficulties, formal administration documentation and processes and excellent stakeholder engagement.
Your work will ensure contract compliance with project requirements (cost, schedule and quality) and approvals.
You will liaise with other Supply Chain personnel and various other stakeholders, as well as maintain relationships with the client, bidders and contractor personnel.
This is a FIFO position working 2:1 roster based in Karratha. Major Responsibilities: Prepares bidders' lists, ensuring supporting input is received from relevant stakeholders and pre-qualified bidders.
Form bid request packages, addenda and other bid cycle correspondence, ensuring proper format, content and project requirements are met.Co-ordinates bidders' questions and answers to those questions.Receives and evaluates bids commercially (including tender pricing evaluations).Directs negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plans as required.Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and Recommendation for Award.Administer large moderately complex contracts.Other responsibilities and tasks as designated.Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.Proficiency and broad experience in the formation and administration of purchase orders through the several steps of bidder prequalification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award, monitoring the performance of suppliers and buyers, backcharge procedures, resolution of claims and disputes, and other such related steps.Experience administering complex construction industry (sub)contracts.
Extensive knowledge and experience in (sub)contract administration required.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Able to participate in contract negotiations.Skill in working and informing effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.Experience in developing complex contract types, fee arrangements, terms and conditions.Experience in contract administration on large capital contracts (EPCM preferred)Knowledge of law, commercial negotiations, accounting, claims mitigation and management and cost engineering gained through education or experience.Knowledge and understanding of the project functional groups and company policies, procedures and work practices.There are many reasons why choosing to join Bechtel is one of the best career decisions you will ever make.
