Brightstar Resources Ltd is currently searching for a Senior Field Assistant to join our Regional Exploration team on a field roster basis.
The role is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic team focused on resource development and discovery across an extensive exploration portfolio.
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will provide support to the team with day-to-day exploration activities on Brownfields and Greenfields projects in logistically challenging locations, and assist in the implementation of Brightstar's exploration strategy.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to: Assist in management of safety and environmental considerations during exploration field activitiesAssist geologists with drill rig supervision, contractor management, logistics and field activitiesAssist with geochemical and drill sampling, including coordinating samples for despatchRehabilitation of drill sitesLogistics planning and management; forward planning and maintaining awareness of barriers to success while putting measures in place to ensure cost effective and seamless field management.Oversee the management of company assets (vehicles), including tracking and monitoring their safety and maintenance.Requirements/qualifications to secure this role are: Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in Field-based exploration campaigns including time in a senior capacity, with a strong understanding of exploration techniques, equipment, and procedures.Air core/RAB, RC, and diamond drilling experience with a solid understanding of drilling methods, equipment, and safety protocols.Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Data entry skills and general computer literacy.Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formatsWell-developed time management skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and ensure accuracy in all work.Previous experience in clearing, preparation & rehabilitation of drill sites including GPSCurrent 'C' Class Manual license (required), 'HR' Class license (preferable)Front End Loader / experience (preferable)Forklift ticket & experience (preferable)This role is offered with a competitive salary on a field-based FIFO/DIDO roster of approximately 15 days on (including travel days) and 13 days off.
