Exciting opportunity to join a Network Operator on a full-time basis.
Our client is taking on some large Telecommunication infrastructure builds around APAC region and require an experienced Fiber Planner and Designer to help plan Fiber builds and the Network architecture. The Fiber planner and designer will need to ensure that all aspects of the company planning, and design works adhere to the high-quality standards and technical prowess expected. You will be working to expanding a technical centre of excellence across the design function.
POSITION DESCRIPTION – Fiber Planner and Designer Position Duties and Requirements: Be the highest-level technical expertise in Fibre Design and Planning providing advice and support to teams across the company including Solutions Architects, Network Operations and GIS. Develop complex OSP designs, assist with commercial estimates and feasibility studies. Ensure that all network planning works are delivered to meet customer specifications, in agreed timeframes and within budget Liaise with Network Operations to ensure a smooth transition build phase of works Effectively plan and implement solutions to improve Network efficiency Be efficient & comfortable with the use of in-house digital planning tools (CAD, Spatial, GIS) Effectively integrate existing acquired Networks with any newly planned networks Provide an effective escalation route for all customer issues in relation to network proposals and resolve appropriately Develop and maintain effective working relationships with our internal and external customers and suppliers ensuring consistent quality of service Actively gather detailed feedback from internal and external customers. Monitor performance against objectives and targets Maintain all technical and operational documentation in accordance with processes and procedures Implement and manage technical training and competency framework initiatives Experience: Excellent Microsoft and Google Suite skills 10 Years' experience in Telecommunications OSP/ISP and Fibre Design ArcFM GIS experience preferred Excellent Google Earth KMZ skills Outside Plant experience highly desirable Strong experience on Australian Fibre networks outside of Telstra or NBN Full Australian working rights Position Duties and Requirements: Be the highest-level technical expertise in Fibre Design and Planning providing advice and support to teams across the company including Solutions Architects, Network Operations and GIS.
