About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced family lawyer to join the dynamic team at Daykin Family Law in Brisbane. As a Senior Family Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing expert and high level legal advice and support to clients navigating complex family law matters. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative and supportive team while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.What you'll be doingAdvising clients on a wide range of family law issues, including property settlements, parenting, child support and spousal maintenanceRepresenting clients in court proceedings, mediations and negotiationsDrafting legal documents such as Binding Financial Agreements, Binding Child Support Agreements, consent orders, parenting plans and documents for court proceedingsConducting legal research and analysis to support the team where necessaryProviding exceptional client service and managing client relationshipsMentoring and guiding other team membersWhat we're looking for4-5 years + of post-admission experience (PAE) in family lawDemonstrated expertise in family law, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and case lawExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical advice to clientsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategicallyA collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to providing exceptional client serviceAdmitted to practice law in Queensland and a current practising certificateExperience in running your own family law files, with guidance and support where necessary from the DirectorWhat we offerOpportunities for professional development and participating in industry eventsSupportive and collegial team environmentAbout us
